Living Room

lyrics

Now I’ve forgotten the pleasantries I need to keep this together, I think you’d be better off dreaming bigger than this pixelated picture. Re-adjust your focus, avoiding the psychosis.

There’s a fire in my stomach, I’m not stoked by it.
My heavy-handed friend keeps dropping hints
That I’m no good, that I’m no good.

Since I’ve been bedbound I’m finding all these reasons to rot forever. I can make this simpler. dilute me. In the living room we’ll see who can last for longer, we both know that you’re stronger.

There’s a fire in my stomach, I’m not stoked by it.
My heavy-handed friend keeps dropping hints
That I’m no good, that I’m no good.

I’m not surprised she’s angry; I’m sedated and to blame.
The old ball and chain has rusted from soaking in my pain.
If you can’t find me near in Abington I’ll appear.

Leave it; it’s my living room too. Stop cleaning. This mess it just needs leaving.
